Bamboo Island:

This is a tiny island of only 500m crossway which is bounded by attractive white sandy beaches nearly all the way around which gives path to coral underwater. Stunning Bamboo Island is 5km from the northern tip of Phi Phi Don.

Even though there are more daytrips to go to Bamboo each day but it's not too crowded. Dive boats also go there too. The reefs are extensive and fairly shallow, but the beach is always there for a rest. Yet this is another excellent place to snorkel.

However as this is a part of the National Marine Park and building is illegal, accommodation is not available here.

Moskito Island:

This is not away from Bamboo Island but it is different in appearance. This island is extremely rocky with high limestone cliffs. It is surrounded by a shallow coral reef.

This island is next to Bamboo but only few people visit because there are no beaches. Best is snorkeling in east side however most important of the coral is a bit deeper in this island and so it's for a scuba diving spot than snorkeling.

Tour Program of Bamboo Island and Moskito Island:

As like the Phi Phi Island tour leaves anytime of the day, pending available guides and with only 6 people in a boat.

It is a 4 hour program. The tour of this program is organized by our snorkeling guide.

The tour program contains visits to Bamboo Island, Moskito Island and Hin Klang Reef as mentioned in the previous description.

To do an hour of snorkeling we first stop at Hin Klang. You will be shown around and elucidated about the various species of coral and fish by our in-water guide.

Then we visit the beautiful beaches of Bamboo Island after a break. Exploring the cospe of fir trees we sometimes find monitor lizards, which are quite tame, wandering around the site.

A second snorkeling spot at Moskito Island features better coral reef and a good variety of reef fish.

This trip costs 900 baht.

The package includes Mask and snorkel, fins, wetsuit, life jacket, fruit, water, divemaster, longtail boat and captain.
